The Downfall of Painting...

Wed Sep 30, 2009, 7:19 PM
...is when your cat thinks its okay to jump on your work when it's wet. Multiple times. I need to find a place to paint where she can't go, or I'll have a problem.

Thank you for the :+fav: and I hope you don't give up drawing. I've always been terrible at the realistic stuff, but painting has always been a great outlet for me. I particularly like Modigliani and 'Odalisque with a Tambourine' by Matisse. Their over simplification of the human form may be a great place for you to start; once you get the shape the rest will fall in place more easily. Good luck, but most of all have fun!

=] Thank you so much. That helps a lot; it's just been really frusterating trying to teach myself the basics. I will defenetly check out those paintings though
